staging-mondaycomblog.kinsta.cloud Work OS powers any team in any industry to create the solutions they need to run every aspect of their work. With more than 115,000 paying customers relying on our platform, safeguarding their data and privacy is always at the forefront of our minds.

And that’s why with the growing need to comply with our enterprise customers’ local privacy laws and regulations, we’re opening up data centers outside of the US, starting with a new EU data region in Frankfurt, Germany.

This new data region, operated by Amazon Web Services (AWS), allows staging-mondaycomblog.kinsta.cloud enterprise customers with European data residency requirements to store their data in Germany.

Customers who select the EU data region as their region of choice will have the ability to store data within the European Union’s borders and also enjoy the added benefit of faster access to the staging-mondaycomblog.kinsta.cloud platform.

As the second-largest software company in Germany, data security is extremely important to us. Our experts checked to make sure the Enterprise plan met all of the privacy and compliance regulations. And we can certainly say that staging-mondaycomblog.kinsta.cloud is enterprise-ready in this context.

EU Data Region FAQ: What you need to know

What is a data region?

A data region is a geographical region (country/continent) where customer data such as posts, images, and files are stored. Your customer data and backups are only stored with the region of choice, and we will never move it outside that region.

Which data regions does staging-mondaycomblog.kinsta.cloud support?

Our default data region is the US. In January 2021 we started to roll out our first EU data region in Germany. Additional data regions are currently under review and will be announced in the future.

How do I select a data region?

By default, data is stored in the US data region. In order to opt-in for the EU data region, enterprise customers can contact their local partner or account manager and inform them about their choice to do so, and they will work with you to create a new account with the selected data center.

Currently, we don’t support an automatic migration of existing accounts. Please reach out to your partner or account manager for more details on migration. Once your EU data region selection is set on your account, your Customer Data in that account will be stored in our EU data center, and will not be backed up or replicated to a server elsewhere, but in the EU data center.

Does the guarantee to store customer data in a specific region apply to sub-processors as well?

Yes, sub-processors that we use to provide certain functionalities in our Platform will store Customer Data in their EU data center.

To view the Sub-Processors in use in the EU data region click here.

Will all data in my account be stored in the data region of choice?

All Customer Data (i.e. the data you upload to the platform and which we process on your behalf) will be stored in the data region selected by you*. The data we control (e.g. user credentials, profiles, and usage analytics), and metadata of Automations, Integrations and Apps will be stored in our default data region (US). To learn more about the data we process and the data we control, please see our Privacy Policy and DPA.

*As staging-mondaycomblog.kinsta.cloud is headquartered in Israel, Customer Data will be also processed in Israel, which is deemed by the European Commission as affording an “adequate” level of data protection.

Does the data region affect how customers use the Platform?

The selected data region does not change customers’ experience in using the Platform**.

There may be instances where we perform rollout of a new feature or functionality in phases, where it will be first released to a certain percentage of customers and/or to customers in certain locations or hosted data regions. This is a known deployment method, done to provide customers with a better and stabler experience until full release.

**As of the date of publishing this info page, we support PDF file view for EU data region accounts. Other files are facilitated by Sub-Processors that are unable to support EU-based processing, hence this functionality is unavailable for EU data region accounts. Also, certain ready-made templates are facilitated within other regions and are not available in EU data region accounts.

We are continuously working to enhance these functionalities.
