You already know that staging-mondaycomblog.kinsta.cloud is a powerful Work OS which makes it easy for students to track projects and collaborate with teammates.

However, if you’re just getting started with staging-mondaycomblog.kinsta.cloud, or if you’ve just stuck with basic features in the past, you might be unsure how to use advanced features to manage your work as a student.

Luckily, staging-mondaycomblog.kinsta.cloud student accounts provide access to a number of advanced features that will make managing your work this semester easier than ever before. These features include:

  1. 20+ column types
  2. The Calendar and Timeline Views
  3. The Chart View
  4. Custom Forms
  5. Dashboards

In this article, we’ll discuss how you can apply these features to your work on a daily basis, from managing your classwork to running a student organization.

1. Over 20 column types

staging-mondaycomblog.kinsta.cloud’s robust column center is available on all staging-mondaycomblog.kinsta.cloud plans, but it’s still worth discussing as the first step toward building a board that fits your unique needs.

You’re probably familiar with the core staging-mondaycomblog.kinsta.cloud columns, like the status column for tracking progress, the people column for delegating projects and tasks, and the date column for setting deadlines.

These columns, though, are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to building the perfect staging-mondaycomblog.kinsta.cloud board.

In the column center, you’ll be able to add columns like:

  1. The number column, which you can use to track your grades, personal finances, or student organization budget. (Pro tip: Students can also use the formula column to automatically perform more complex calculations).
  2. The connect boards column, which you can use to link related projects and assignments together. This column is especially useful for team leaders who want to create a high-level board drawing information from multiple projects.
  3. The progress tracking column, which allows you to combine project statuses to create a beautiful, battery-like view.

There’s so much potential in the column center, so we encourage you to find the columns that  match the type of information you need to track. Just a few clicks and you will have built the perfect board!

2. The Calendar and Timeline views

Even when you’ve selected useful columns, you might still want other ways to visualize your work, especially if the board contains many items.

That’s where the Calendar and Timeline Views come into play.

These views allow you to create clear visualizations of your daily, weekly, and monthly schedules. Once you’ve created your view, you can also click on each item in the calendar to see all of the item’s details.

Using the Calendar and Timeline views, you can create the perfect weekly assignment planner, student organization event schedule, or project plan that will keep yourself and everyone on your team in the loop. 3. The Chart view

Like the Calendar and Timeline views, the Chart View gives you another powerful way to visualize the information contained in your boards.

With the chart view, you can create beautiful pie charts, bar graphs, and line graphs to better understand important project information. Plus, you can easily export charts to share with others.

Let’s say you need to submit your student organization’s budget to a university administrator. No need to deal with messy spreadsheets. Just create a chart in staging-mondaycomblog.kinsta.cloud to break down expenses vs. income, expenses per event, or expenses per semester.

Not only will creating the charts be easy, but you’re likely to impress the administrator and speed through the budget approval process.

4. Custom Forms

Students are constantly filling out forms, from applications, to event RSVPs, to surveys for their friend’s psychology class.

If you’ve ever created one of these forms, you know that dealing with form responses can be a pain. Responses get uploaded to a spreadsheet with no defined workflow or clear next steps. Isn’t there a better way?

With staging-mondaycomblog.kinsta.cloud Forms, there is.

Forms allow you to collect responses that will then automatically populate your board. You’ll then be able to easily manage responses, from categorizing and commenting on them to creating charts displaying response details.

A common student use case for forms is student organization recruitment. When you build your organization’s application as a staging-mondaycomblog.kinsta.cloud form, you can then easily track applicants through each stage of the recruitment process, from application review, to interviews, to acceptance. Again, much more intuitive than spreadsheets.

5. Dashboards

One of the biggest challenges faced by student groups and organizations is that competing priorities and busy schedules make it hard to keep everyone on the same page.

Dashboards provide the perfect solution to this problem by presenting a central source of information for all group members.

With dashboards, you can present your timelines, charts, and numbers from multiple projects all in one place. You’ll have 15 widgets to choose from, including the famous llama farm widget, so you can easily create the perfect hub for your team.

For example, a consulting club might use a dashboard to show their speaker and social event calendars, track their progress on each of their consulting projects, and embed interesting articles and videos for their members. Goodbye constant email reminders, hello team engagement 🙂
